Daily Thoughts from the Pooches

Mooooooooooooooo!

Umm...are you OK Spuds?

What? I can be a cow if I want to! Geeze... guess I'll uhhh...impersonate Dad's expression. We're tough. Duh.
(Noo those aren't 'party cups,' just the cups Mama uses at Sunday dinner to avoid more dishes!)

Hmm...then There's Kado. I tried to get him to report on what was going on in the recent "Wordless Wednesday" pic of him.

No. Comment. I'm busy getting slobber all over the winders.
Do any of your windows look like this from the dogs?

Meanwhile, Shadow is depressed, because pretty soon there won't be any more days like this:

And the days will be gray and cold...like this:

She seems to like the snow the most out of all three of the dogs though, so I think she'll be ok!
Is your Sunday afternoon as uneventful as ours? What are your daily thought ramblings?
Love,
The Pooches

Summer Has Begun

Hi everyone,

I hope your summer is starting with a bang! I can't get any pictures to post right now...this is turning into the story of my life- blogger hasn't been letting me post pictures when I'm at Chad's house...which is a bummer because I really want you to see these pictures!!!!

Anyway...I've been having fun catching up on everyone's blogs. There's a lot going on around here, and I'm not sure how much you'll be interested in nor do I know where to start, Ha!

I don't think I told you Spuds had a vet appointment a few weeks ago? He had persistent diahrrea - they did several things including ...er....feeling around "up there" for pollups and didn't find anything serious wrong with him and prescribed a few things to help with the diahrrea...his stool has been improving although I'm not convinced it's 100% yet....we'll keep you updated :)

Meanwhile Shadow is gaining too much weight and I think she's going to go on a diet..

Kado is still dopey as ever, haning out with his baby person sister who is now a toddler.

Chad and I babysat his mom's Jack Russel Terrier last week and I have pictures of that too! Shadow liked him...kind of lol. He's a pretty annoying pooch (I'm saying that with love!)

Chad and I have been really busy, as always. For any writers or readers out there, I recently read Stephen King's On Writing and it has motivated me to keep writing. Also, I officially have one year left of graduate school, yay! I have a pretty intense internship starting Monday...24 hours a week without pay, but internships are so helpful and I'm excited. Chad is working anywhere from 8-14 hours a day right now, so he only has time to work and sleep, no fun!

Oh well, Sorry this blog post is picture-free, I really don't know why it won't let me add pictures in here while I'm at Chads, but sooner or later I'll get it figured out. I hope your Father's Day is awesome tomorrow!

Lots of love to the Blogger family, -Anna

"Brutus' That's Ridiculous" Contest Entry

Ok, http://brutusthefrenchie.blogspot.com/2009/09/our-centennial-post-and-contest-to.html(Click the link to find out more) Brutus the Frenchie is doing a really fun contest where you show a ridiculous thing you do for your dogs!

Chad and I weren't sure what to choose for this contest, but all of a sudden Chad had an 'a-ha!' moment. Mama Day! Here's our picture of Spuds getting fed at Mama's dinner table:

Chad and I have been together for 8 years, and since I've known him (and well, really since he can remember) his Mama has had a huge Sunday dinner every week (excluding vacations of course). If you walk in her house on a Sunday you'd think it was Thanksgiving. Her dining room table easily seats 10 people, but there are always anywhere from 10-20 family members there. Mama and Papa's house is the place for all family get togethers.
Well, lets just say Spuds knows when it's Sunday. It's like he has this internal clock for it. Ever since Spuds was a puppy he's been included in this tradition. He comes every week and gets to walk around the dining room table for everyone to feed him. Everyone is just as worried about making sure Spuds is fed as they are about feeding themselves, and Spuds walks in the kitchen when he's full and waits for Mama to get him his bowl of water. When family pictures are taken, Spuds is in them. We don't have kids, so he's in all the 'family pics' of me and Chad. He comes to every Christmas there to open his presents and wade around in the living room full of wrapping paper. He always gets a piece of cake when birthdays are celebrated. If Mama and Papa are on vacation Chad and I have to go to Bob Evans and bring him back pancakes or he's depressed all day, whining at the door to go to Mama's...

Halloween Festivities

Neither Chad nor I have carved a pumpkin since we were kids, so we decided to this year. Here is our process part way through. The dogs seemed uninterested as they lounged on the couch.

Spuds: Is this all we're gonna do tonight?
Shadow: Seriously? That's all I can say...seriously?

Spuds let out a few obvious sighs...

Chad did a grim reaper (but the part that was supposed to be the body broke off...) and I did Blue! I figured it would only be right for me to do a dog. By this time Shadow and Spuds were not in sight and in the back of my mind I wondered what they might be up to...
Here are the finished products.

It was the only dog stencil I could find online...

Little did we know just how 'into' the Halloween spirit Shadow and Spuds got. As we finished taking pictures of our pumpkins this is what we turned around to find:
Me, a devil? Pshh, never! Spuds picked the costume. Something about it being his old one or something...I dunno becuz this is my first halloween here!

Things are getting sPoOkY around here already...
